Church Development Project
2022 sees us celebrate 55 years of witness to the Gospel and service to the community of Brownhills in Silver Street. Our church building is now showing signs of needing some tlc and refurbishment so that we can continue to service the community over many more years to come. During 1 week at Brownhills Methodist Church around 200 people come through our doors and use the facilities that we offer to enhance their health and wellbeing.
Our development project consists of 3 key area's
1. To replace the flat roof over our community rooms to make it comply with latest thermal insulation regulations at a cost of £125k. (Please see below photo's of current roof issues)
2. To refurbish the front of the church building including painting of the window frames, painting of the gold cross, replace the bird netting to preserve the stained glass windows and to replace the 1960's cast iron guttering which is now leaking. To complete this work we are looking around £20k.
3. To upgrade the 1960's electrics in our building
We hope to apply for community grants towards our project we do have to raise some of this money ourselves.

September 2025
· In the Autumn/Winter 2024/25 major roof work was undertaken to repair the damaged flat roof. Sadly, due to rising costs and planning regulations we were unable to meet the costs of a new roof. However, since this work happened, we hope we have a watertight building now!
· Over the summer of 2025 our side entrance has been painted to give it a fresh and welcoming look to all who come into our rooms.
· May & August 2025 saw the return of our Classic Cars and Coffee. Together these events raised in the region of £1700 towards our development project.
